Firefox更新版本Firefox 2.0.0.5的正式版在美國時間7月17日正式開放下載，改善前陣子爆出來的IE瀏覽器與Firefox並存互相影響的安全性問題。
而Firefox 3 alpha 6釋出後，Firefox 3 alpha 7也快釋出了，預計在7月31日發行，網站開發人員和程式設計人員可以先行熟悉。
有興趣使用Firefox 2.0.0.5且使用Windows平台的人可以點選Mozilla方面釋出的Firefox 2.0.0.5 繁體中文正式版下載連結，這也是目前官方推薦給Windows平台的最主要Firefox瀏覽器版本。另外，Linux與Mac OS平台的版本也開放更新下載了。
