ATI釋出新驅動程式CATALYST 6.8
這是ATI今年所發出的第8版新驅動程式,改進了陰影處理效果,以及幾何變形引擎,以電腦遊戲而言《毀滅戰士3》,《雷神之鎚4》,《超世紀戰警》和《Prey》等4款遊戲就有6.5%、18%、20%與16%的效能增加。

檔案大小為34MB左右,可以從ATI官方網站下載,Avivo Video Converter可另外下載,這次的更新內容如下:
ATI改進了記憶體管理程式,讓只有256MB顯示卡記憶體的產品在DirectX環境下提高效能,特別是X1000系列(比方說我現在用的X1300 Pro,X1800、X1900)可在3DMark06測試軟體下提高約22%的效能。

另外,ATI也將推出Radeon X1550,這是一款中階產品,我自己預估這應該也是從聯電出貨的新款晶片,可說是X1300的加強版本。
